Real pool is the obvious way to go if you are learning to play pool. Most of the virtual pool games out there are not very realistic and true to the table. This one that I found is a great virtual pool game and everything holds true to life on this pool game. Yes, in the end, a real table far outweighs a virtual game any day but in a pinch this works.

A good game of pool or billiards requires a good table and accessories. Though there are a number of sports goods manufacturing companies, Sportcraft has a name for itself. The products offered by Sportcraft are known to be of good quality and many customers vouch for them. This article describes the products of Sportcraft with a comparison with close competitors.

One of the important keys to improving your pool game is to shoot against players that beat you all the time. Playing against another player who shoots consistently is an important tool that will make you a better player. You have to take the time to analyze what they are doing and why. It isn't enough just to play the game and lose, you need to understand why you lost.

This is a brief explanation of the game of 9 ball in pool. I hope it makes sense and doesn't make things more confusing. I have an article on ball-in-hand rules that may help you make more sense. 9 ball is a great game to learn, but there aren't many who know how to play. There is a solid reason to learn the game if you are going to compete in pool.

This is a very brief description of ball-in-hand rules. It also briefly covers the pool table and explains the different places on a table. This can get a little confusing so please bear with me as I try to muddle through this. It may help your game or not and if I don't explain it so well let me know.

The bridge, or the way you place your hand on the felt makes a huge difference in whether you win a game or not. Many people don't realize how much of a difference a good, solid bridge makes. It determines whether you will win a game at the end of the day.

This is a brief explanation of how to use a bridge or "Granny Stick" in pool. I don't care how tall you are one day you will need to know how to use one. I am just giving a brief description of how and why to use one. Many players won't use one because they think it makes them look "weak". HUGE mistake!

This is a short discussion on pool cue ball sizes. The size of the cue ball determines how you should plan your stroke on the cue ball. If your shooting is a little off, the size of the cue ball maybe the culprit. Check the size of the cue ball against the other balls on the table. If it's larger than the other balls it could be throwing your game off.

While Bumper Pool is a type of pocket billiard which is quite popular in Holland, Belgium and France (where, curiously, it is often referred to as 'Russian billiard' or 'Hungarian billiards'), it is practically unknown in North America. This article will briefly focus on the characteristics of Bumper Pool, on some of the rules of the game, and on how the game is played.
